Mission Statement:
The mission of the Blue Ridge Regional Library Foundation is to provide financial and other support to the Blue Ridge Regional Library (BRRL) that will help the Library serve the citizens of Henry and Patrick Counties and the City of Martinsville and achieve its long-term goals.
The Foundation engages in fundraising to help fund special projects and needs that cannot be met by the Library’s normal fundraising mechanism.
The Foundation works closely with the BRRL Governing Board to identify and prioritize projects and purposes for which Foundation funds will be raised and expended.
Attention Library Lovers! Interested in serving on one of our Boards?
Our Blue Ridge Regional Library Board of Trustees has one opening for a resident of the City of Martinsville. It is for an unexpired four-year term, ending 6/30/2027. Ours is a governing board, not an advisory board, appointed by our local governments. It normally meets on the third Wednesday of each month, at noon, at one of our libraries. For more information, please contact Director, Rick Ward at 276-403-5430, [email protected].
The Blue Ridge Regional Library Foundation, Inc. is seeking new member/Directors. We are a Virginia 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose purpose is to provide financial and other support to the public Blue Ridge Regional Library, exclusively for education and charitable purposes. We especially are seeking persons with experience in one of the following: marketing, boards, planning, foundations, or fundraising. We currently meet on the second Monday of each month at 3:00 p.m. at one of our system libraries. For more information, please see [email protected], and contact us at [email protected].*
